What a fun video! Woodpeckers fascinate me. Neat variety I haven’t seen before.

A friend of mine moved to the Alturas area and she mentioned White-headed Woodpeckers on her property which we never got to see during that visit several years ago. I’ve wanted to visit Lassen, for the geological aspects, and wouldn’t have necessarily expected this beautiful nesting scene. Now I can’t wait to make a trip there someday. What a super video, giving me/us the vicarious experience of a bird I’ve never seen.
