Here is a link that should explain the lens flare you see: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/lens-flare.htm I love that effect, but you might not always want it. There are lens filters you can use to minimize the internal reflection. Hope that helps. Love the drama of your shot!

@dewdrop Thanks for the information on lens flare! Very interesting. I have encountered the problem before and intentionally used it or got rid of it bit I never knew what caused it. Knowledge is power.
