Great Egrets Hanging Out In An Oak Tree photo by Larry Jordan
These Great Egrets are relaxing in an oak tree above the creek that runs through the golf course where I try to play once a week. I take my instant camera with me everywhere these days, trying not to miss a photo opportunity. Another clear blue sky in Northern California. Be sure to check out the other great photos at Skywatch Friday.

I don’t know why, but I’ve never thought of an egret in a tree. In a marsh, yet, in an oak –never! But thanks for sharing this. I’ll put it in my novel!

I m amazed at this behaviour of egrets. The other day I noticed about 40-50 egrets sitting on a single tree like this. What amazed me was that that particular tree was by the side of a busy road.

Beautiful shot! And love the textures and shapes of the branches artistically criss-crossing the image!

Love your skywatch photo, Larry! Great subjects and they stand out so well against that gorgeous blue sky!! 🙂
Beautiful shot! I would have cropped this to show only the Egret on the right.
