This is a photograph of Mt. Shasta in northern California I took from Redding the other day. Notice the cloud formation. These “saucer” shaped clouds often form directly above Mt. Shasta prompting some people to believe that there is a group of beings living inside of the mountain called Lemurians. You can read more about the Lemurians and folklore of Mt. Shasta here.
You can also see some way cool photos at Skywatch Friday.

@Guy thanks for the comment and your beautiful, optimistic photo
@Rottlady thanks for stopping by, love your clouds
Now I know why my white rose is called Mt.Shasta! Lovely photo. The clouds forming over high mountains are usually lenticular clouds rather than UFOs.

They would be cool to see some Lemurians. 🙂 I love the Mount Shasta area. Hiked through there on the PCT and I just love driving through that area on I-5. It would be nice to explore that area more closely.

Hi Larry 🙂 Looks like a pretty clear day up there. The low sun really makes the trees glow. Great SWF – I had no idea people thought of those clouds as saucers.
