What are you doing for Labor Day? Sponsoring a rally to cheer for blowing off the tops of mountains and destroying one of the world’s most important biologically diverse areas? If you’re a Verizon Wireless customer, you may not know it, but you are.
Tell Verison not to sponsor this event by following this link to the Center For Biological Diversity and read the rest of the story, because “Life Is Good”.

Thanks for taking a stand against mountaintop removal.
I shudder to think of the baby birds and other wildlife that are burried alive in valley fills.
I had no idea – thanks for the info. I just sent an email from your link. I have Verizon telephone service in my home, and AT&T cellular service. I saw a Credo ad in Audubon magazine, basically saying that AT&T doesn’t care about conservation, and to consider Credo service. I’ve been meaning to check it out.
It looks like companies are starting to market products and services to conservation-minded consumers, by touting their conservation clout. For example, I bought a loaf of bread the other day, simply because it had the Nature Conservancy logo on it. And Dawn dish soap, because of their commitment to helping wildlife. It would be great if this sort of commitment to conservation by large companies achieved real progress for conservation efforts. Let’s hope!

Hi Larry,
I guess we need to realize what is happening in a faster way, but profit kills everything and these big companies are awful! Most of the people agree that they have to make some effort to save the environment we are living in, but these big “profit” companies do not make any effort… Wordless!!! Thanks I’ve followed the links and supported the action!
