Osprey Male (Pandion haliaetus) photo by Larry Jordan
I took this photo with my digiscoping setup last June (click image to see full sized photo). It was shot at f1.8, 1/500 sec, at ISO 1000. I love Osprey and this is one of my favorite photos. You can read the full story of this guy and his mate here. Now get on over to World Bird Wednesday to see more great bird photos from around the world!

that is greatness!
What an amazing stare from this beautiful bird.
Hi there – how big are the birds eyes! Splendid shot.
Those are the most riveting eye I have ever seen. A Grand photo there Larry! The settings for your digiscope are wild, f1.8? That is a lens! I clicked over to the main article and found it fascinating too. The deed was done in 15 seconds with a 50 mph wind and you watching! Nature is nothing if not efficient!
that is one amazing shot!!
This is awesome! Love those big eyes fixated right on you!
Mesmerizing image, Larry. I have never seen anything like it!
Great one, Larry. I love the eyes. Wouldn’t we all love to get a shot like that!
